He is so caring about his students and will make you enjoy Stats even if you think you hate it. Very understanding, always trying to help his students succeed, and will give you as much help and as many extensions as you need. If you want to have the best Stats professor choose him.

Apr 14th, The reviews on here are really hard for this guy. I thought his class wasn't too bad. He is willing to help prep for exams and is fairly easy. The class was graded by 10 quizzes 2 dropped and 3 bigger tests.

The final isn't cumulative so its pretty easy to study for and the quizzes were problems right from the video he posted. Gives good feedback Test heavy Clear grading criteria. Jan 17th, Professor is very good. As long as you constantly pay attention in class, you will do fine. Although the tests can be different from the practice exams, they are easy to do if you also read the book. If you have concerns, definitely ask him during office hours or go through the book.

Skip class? Jan 14th, Professor tries to help students in many ways: weighs grading fairly, light weekly homework, self-made formula sheet allowed on every test. The tests he gave are not easy, and he cannot even solve some of the problems quickly. If anyone wants to ruin the GPA, Simons is an ideal prof you.

Tough Grader. He seems like a nice guy but he is impossible to understand or learn from. I wish I had listened to everyone when they told me not to take his class, but too late for that. I'm just hoping that I don't bomb on the test. Jun 13th, Seems like a nice person who cares about what he does. But he was perhaps the worst professor I've ever had. Virtually incomprehensible, self-contradictory, and rambling.

May 6th, Talks forever without teaching a thing. No one in the class understands him. Bad bad bad bad bad Sep 16th, Very easy going and pleasant class. Not that deep and broad in terms of subject matter covered but it was only 2 credits. Nice man and accessible outside class.

Dec 5th, The best professor Fordham has, bar none - one of only a handful at best who truly cares about student learning and students themselves. Other professors at Fordham would do well to learn from Mr. A true scholar - and a gentleman!

Jan 1st, Rambled often during lectures. Lectures were not clear or organied. Very nice personality and approachable. Learned more teaching myself from the book and study guides.

Jul 24th, I agree that Sims is very underrated and very animated, hence the reason why he is underrated. He actually took the time to teach the law rather than just pontificate. He does really upon class participation so if you are shy you might not appreciate this. I loved his class and his exam format. I wish I had taken Con Law with him.
