The very fact that Winfile keeps and remembers the last directories that you had open in its multiple windows only limited by screen real estate is reason enough to use it. Additionally, it does a much better job of showing directory structure than the latest versions of Explorer, which IMHO have gotten worse since XP's Explorer.

Who really needs all of the drop-down arrows with stack, sort and group - these functions were all done in Winfile with simple click-to-do-it icons.

Another REALLY NICE feature of Winfile is the ability to collapse a desired directory tree AND all of its roots merely by double clicking on the root of the directory you want to collapse instead of having to individually collapse every expanded tree.

Winfile preserves screen real estate without a bunch of worthless fluff AND provides more information at the same time. This is a very important piece of information when it comes to verifying the validity of a file when checking for infected variations. Some of the features that were added by Explorer are fantastic, such as the ability to right-click for the drop-down menu and the ability to display thumbnails, etc.
