Who would have thought something as innocuously utilitarian as fireplace tools could be so cool! They stay firmly in place on their stand, don't get tangled, and the tongs, with 3 tongs instead of a 2 prong scissor design, work really well to move bigger logs. The steel handles draw the eye from across a room and accent our modern decore.

This is a wonderfull piece. Very well crafted, but still modern and elegant.

It fits perefctly in our contemporary home. The box was wrecked when it got here. However, the set is great a 5 , so it worked out and my daughter had a great Christmas gift. The product itself seems reasonably well made. The finishes however are not. The base had several large paint chips. The base will need to be sanded down and resprayed. One of the silver handles has some mar on the finish that I can't remove. We have to hang that tool in such a way as the poor finish is to the back.
